Dear Justin's Family, Friends and the many
Firefighters that crossed paths with Justin,
We express our deepest condolences and send our
thoughts of healing during this difficult time. Reading through newspaper
articles and words spoken of him, it is clear to us that Justin was a true
"Vermontah" or Woodchuck as we natives like to call ourselves. Justin
was from Bellows Falls, VT, a place some of us still call home and although
some of us didn't know him personally we share a common bond in the fact that we
all served in one form or another.
Till Valhalla brother, we shall meet again.
From the brothers and sisters of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) Chapter 26-3 (Southern Vermont)
Having lived and worked on the Green Mountain
National Forest in Vermont back in the 1990’s to early 2000’s, I know the woods
he loved. He lived and enjoyed life in the time he walked this Earth more
than many will ever experience. It was very fitting to include a Robert
Frost poem to the memorial. When reading it, I imagined Justin helping
his family set up tubing and then stoking the fire of the evaporator as the sap
started to come in. I know the closeness of family and I’m sure you will feel
his presence when you wander the woods where you’ve spent time together.
Hold his memory tight and remember how happy he was doing what he loved to
do.
Brad, USFS Aviation
Your sadness is shared by
all of us in the fire world. We stopped and turned our hearts to you. May then
Peace of God, which passes all understanding, be with you. My prayers are for
your comfort. I know it hurts.

The entire
Vermont Academy community is keeping Justin’s family and the firefighter
community in our thoughts. In his one year as a student, he embraced, and was
embraced by, his classmates and shared his athletic talents with our soccer,
hockey, and baseball teams. His warm and
genuine smile, his dedication to his friends and family, and passion for his
chosen path will be what we’ll remember about Justin and hold dear.

To the
family of Justin Beebe and the rest of the wildland firefighting community
I
offer my most sincere condolences and sympathy during this most awful time.
We
will never forget you.

Wishing much
peace, strength and love to the family and his fellow Fire Fighters. My heart aches for all of you. I read the blog about Justin. He sounds just like my son, who is based out
of Wisdom. I can't imagine ever
receiving "that" phone call. I
do trust that Justin was doing what he loved.
I guess it's better to have lived a rewarding short life, than to have
lived a long unrewarding life. I wish I
could reach out and hug you all. Best
wishes to you all.
Diane
Mr. and Mrs. Beebe and family,
We are very saddened by the death of your son,
Justin. From the article we read in the newspaper, he sounds like a wonderful
young man. He was taken too soon from all of you who loved him.
My husband, Andy, will be attending the
memorial service for your son that is being held in Missoula, MT tomorrow. Andy has been a wildland firefighter for many
years, and is now with a national fire incident management team. He takes every
death of a firefighter very hard, and is glad that he will be present to help
honor Justin at the memorial.
We know your loss is great, and we hope that
time can help to alleviate some of your sadness.
Betsy
To
Justin's family, fiancé, and fire family,
My

of Justin; however, I do hope that you will remember the many great years that

As a mother of a hotshot crew
member my deepest, heartfelt sympathy go out to Justin's family, friends, crew
members and everyone that knew him. My
son will be in attendance at Justin's Memorial Service in Missoula on
Saturday. I cannot imagine what you are
going thru as a family. Words cannot
express my heart-wrenching emotions right now.
Be proud of Justin, his work and his special abilities that went into
making him become a hotshot. It is hard,
grueling, laborious work and it takes a special person to want to become a
hotshot crew member. Look upward and
know that he is now in heaven. I am so
very sorry for your loss.
So very sad to have read this
prayers n thoughts for his family n friends again so very sorry.
In honor of Justin, and in support of his family,
friends, and co-workers. I hold you close in my heart as you bring him
home. Meg.
Sending my deepest condolences and prayers
to your family. He sounded like an amazing person and a hard worker. He rests
in peace as a hero to not only Montana, but to any fire he fought. What any
firefighter does is simply amazing and takes courage. May his love and passion
for fire be carried through his spirit and he uses that to watch over his
family and friends. Keep his memory alive and always know he is right there
watching over you. I’m so sorry for your loss!!

"To
those who knew and loved Justin, and those whose hearts beat with fire,
The
fire world is a small one, and much like a family. When younger I worked with
the Missoula Fire Crew and we shared locker space with the Lolo Hotshots. I was especially in awe of their drive and
physical aptness, and uniformity as they all wore the exact same shirts,
indicating they were part of a team of hard working individuals. Outside of
work, I would see one of those blue shirts at the store and immediately
identify with the character of that person, even if I did not know them. There
is no doubt that Justin was amongst some amazing people and a tight-knit group
at that. There aren’t words to really describe it.
My
thoughts and prayers go out to Justin’s family and friends, and his fire family."

"Thoughts and prayers go out to,
not only the Beebe family, but Justin's firefighter family as well. He was a great kid who grew into an
outstanding youngman. His whole town is
grieving with you all. May you find
comfort in knowing that Justin died doing something he loved- serving and
protecting people."

“Many times in tragedy we look for some ray of light. My daughter, on an engine from Arizona, had the privilege to saw side-by-side with Justin the week before the Strawberry fire. It was a gift from him to teach, mentor a young person, a female sawyer. That Ray of light in this tragedy...... my daughter will forever carry forward the knowledge she learned form Justin the rest of her professional career & will always honor him each time she picks up her saw.”
We are so sorry for your loss,

“Although I have a Forest Service job, I so much look up to the outdoors life and profession that Justin engaged in. He did a fine job for us, and will continue to be an inspiration for all those who encountered him. Blessings to you Justin and your kin.”

“To the family and friends of Justin Beebe
and everyone he had an impact on during his life:
I am so completely sorry and heartbroken
over this tragedy. I will never understand why bad things like this happen to
good people, especially people who put their lives on the line for others
everyday for their job. I didn't personally know Justin very well but had a few
beers with him and some friends back in the day and even just meeting him then
I could tell that he was an amazing person with many friends and family who
loved him.
My family has recently been going through
a hard time with my brother being diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and the amount
of support and amount of people who have reached out to offer any help has been
heartwarming and I can already see that's happening for Justin's family as
well. I believe many people already want to remember Justin by following their
dreams and discovering more about the woods. I will be praying for your family
and everyone impacted by this loss.”
Paige
"Our family and friends who knew Justin send heartfelt
condolences to Justin's family. Justin will be remembered always with his
humble smile and his willingness and ability to always do his best."

“Your loss
is terrible. I feel such sorrow for you. Know that people, strangers to you who
never knew your son, are thinking of you now.”

"Dear Family and Friends of Mr. Beebe,
I did not personally know Justin, but as a
career forester and firefighter, this feels like losing a brother. Can’t imagine how this must affect you, but
please remember many others in our community are feeling your loss, too. His passing will remind us all to go home and
hug the wife and kids, scratch our own Boo’s behind the ears, plant a tree.
You can bet when I take that long walk in the
woods I’ll be thinking of him…"
Steve, USFS
"So sorry for your loss. I just read the blogspot Memorial page. Justin’s family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers."
